CLIENT PROFILE
Chevron Canada has a major presence in Calgary, with its Canadian head office located in the owned and operated 270,000-square-foot downtown office tower, Chevron Plaza. As the energy business is cyclical, Chevron Canada has, over time, required additional office requirements adjacent to Chevron Plaza and, at other times, has multi-tenanted the low-rise floors of Chevron Plaza to backfill shrinking demand.

BACKGROUND
Chevron Canada has required market expertise in transaction management for additional premises in Calgary and Halifax and in the management and disposition of surplus premises. CresaPartnerhas been a long-term partner in Chevron’s efforts to effectively market and sublease premises. CresaPartners has assisted Chevron Texaco in securing an office in Halifax for their offshore exploration team. Leasing strategies have been developed to not only maintain the building’s market value but also to maximize Chevron’s ability to grow or contract on their own terms.
